Frequently asked questions
Practical answers about choosing a model, charging, Bluetooth, product care, documents and purchase support. Model-specific figures below apply only to the named version.
Choosing a battery
How do I choose between the 100Ah formats?
Measure length, width and total available height, allowing room for terminals, cables and securing the battery. Compare SuperMini, Underfloor and Group 31 specifications. A format name alone does not establish vehicle fit or permission to mount the battery on its side. Compare the range.
Does Bluetooth mean the battery has self-heating?
No. Bluetooth monitoring and self-heating are separate features. The Standard Bluetooth and Heated Bluetooth 200Ah models are separate products. Check the selected listing and its heating instructions.
What is included in a pack or kit?
Check the exact selected product and variant for quantities and included components. A two- or three-battery pack is not automatically a battery-and-charger bundle. Accessories displayed nearby are separate purchases unless expressly included in the listing.
Is the 6Ah module suitable for an RV, inverter or motor?
No. The 6Ah model is designed for low-current standby applications such as alarms, access control, IoT and communications backup. It is not for UPS systems, inverters, motor/starter loads or RV electrical systems. Maximum continuous charging and discharging current: 6A; recommended continuous load up to 75W. Browse compact battery information.
Are capacity and current the same thing?
No. Amp-hours (Ah) describe charge capacity; amps (A) describe current flowing at a moment in time. A larger Ah number does not by itself approve a high-current appliance. Compare daily energy use separately from simultaneous running current and startup demand.
For a 12.8V, 100Ah battery, nominal stored energy is 1,280Wh. Actual usable energy and runtime depend on the load, operating conditions and system losses.
How can I estimate my daily energy use?
For each appliance, multiply its power in watts by its actual operating hours: W × hours = Wh. Add the results. For example, 40W of lighting for 5 hours uses 200Wh. Use measured or realistic cycling time for a fridge, rather than assuming its compressor runs continuously.
This is a planning calculation, not a runtime guarantee or a battery recommendation. Include conversion losses, peak demand and the time between recharges in your request. Build your selection request.
Can I fit the DIN battery on its side or use it for engine starting?
The 100Ah DIN / H190 instructions specify upright installation with the terminal posts facing up. Do not install it upside down; ask Sentorise support before choosing a side-mount position. This model is not a starter battery. A DIN-shaped case alone does not establish compatibility with a vehicle or its electrical system.
